About Me

I'm a UK based modeller, specialising in German and Commonwealth armour. I have worked on a commission basis for enthusiasts all over the world, created masters for one of the big 1/32 resin "ready made" model companies, and have recently helped out on some projects for Archer Fine Transfers and other 1/35 armour accessory companies. I build for myself - when I have time! - concentrating on Stugs, Pz IV's and UK and Commonwealth WW2 stuff. I also post my work on www.track-link.com, www.missing-lynx.com and www.warwheels.net. Please leave comments or questions on the blog or on any of the websites I post on. If you would like to contact me, just click on "view my complete profile" below for my email address. Tiger 1 "212" - Michael Wittman

Recent research has narrowed down the Tiger 1 used by Michael Wittman at Villers-Bocage to a couple of options. Was it 212 or 205? Pop over to www.missing-lynx.com, go to the Axis discussion group and type in "Michael Wittman's Tiger at Villers Bocage" in the search box.  Be prepared to lose a few hours of your life wading through the research. Most of the respected experten point to "212" for reasons that are well explained on M-L.

Needless to say, I plumped for 212, and used the first - and best - release of the DML Tiger 1 (Late) for my model. Zimmerit was by my tried and trusted Squadron Green / Tamiya zimm rake method. Hope you like it:
